Cy Twombly, an American artist who died in 2011 allocated the bulk of his art and cash to the Cy Twombly Foundation of New York.
The foundation now controls much of Twombly's work. Under the foundation, a 25-foot-wide Beaux Arts mansion on East 82nd Street which was due to open on a limited basis beginning in late 2012 as an exhibition and study center.
